A J560 in the construction works of Sundsta-Älvkullegymnasiet

20 / 09 / 2021

JASO is participating with a Top Line crane in the renovation and extension of the school in Karlstad, Sweden

Requirement

The Swedish construction company Skanska is responsible for carrying out this project, which will cover 21,300 m² spread over three buildings. The new Sundsta-Älvkullegymnasiet secondary school will be opened in 2021 and house more than 2,000 students and 250 teachers, making it one of the most modern and largest schools in the country.

The construction work will require the commissioning of a horizontal jib tower crane easy to erect and able to lift loads of more than 3 t. Another key factor is the need to cover a radius of action of 75 m to reach all the construction areas.

Solution

Our distributor DMS together with LL Kranar AB commissioned JASO to install a J560 tower crane, which belongs to the H Series from the Top Line range. A JL25 lift has also been installed as a solution for operator access to the operator’s cab.

This model offers certain advantages being one of the largest horizontal jib tower cranes provided by JASO. It has a maximum reach of 85 m and can lift loads of up to 24 t.

This tower crane has a very short-profile top, which facilitates the crossing of several machines at different heights. It is very quick and practical to erect as the jib can be assembled in sections in reduced spaces.
