Repowering and reliability in wind farms in the U.S.: the Green Pastures case
31 / 03 / 2026
At JASO Elevation Systems, we continue to strengthen our presence in the North American wind sector through the development and implementation of robust, safe lifting solutions designed for long-term performan
One of the most representative projects within this strategy is the Green Pastures wind farm, located in Texas (USA). In this project, 100 GW25NA model lifts have been installed in T92 AW3000 wind turbines, featuring 92-meter steel towers. This initiative is part of a repowering process, in which previous systems—affected by structural issues caused by ladder fatigue—have been replaced.

The project was developed in collaboration with Nordex USA and is currently operated by Acciona Energía USA, while JASO has been responsible for system maintenance since 2025, ensuring proper performance and operational continuity.
Beyond installation: long-term commitment
At JASO, our approach goes beyond equipment supply. We are committed to a model based on comprehensive service and operational continuity, supporting our clients throughout the entire lifecycle of their assets.
Currently, we manage biannual maintenance for more than 500 lifts across the United States and Canada, with a presence in key wind farms in states such as Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, and the Dakotas. This deployment is supported by ongoing collaboration with strategic partners such as Nordex and Acciona Energía.
Technology that makes the difference
Our rack and pinion lifting systems are designed to meet the demanding requirements of the wind energy sector, delivering significant improvements in safety, efficiency, and durability.
Key advantages include optimized access and maintenance times within the tower, enhanced safety conditions for technicians, and reliable operation in demanding environments. In addition, these systems are engineered to align their service life with that of the wind turbine, contributing to more efficient and sustainable operations.
Currently, we operate in North America with three main models—GA25, GA27, and GW25NA—totaling more than 1,450 units installed across the United States and Canada.
