Gothenburg, in Sweden, is a city constantly undergoing renewal, and we at JASO Tower Cranes are playing our part. Right now, we’re fully engaged in the Westlink project (V\u00e4stl\u00e4nken), an ambitious initiative to create a network of railway tunnels beneath the city center. The goal? To enhance capacity, cut down travel times, and ease congestion at the central station. As part of this, two new underground stations, Korsv\u00e4gen and Haga, are in the works.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This massive endeavor, led by Swedish construction firm NCC and German company Weyss & Fretag, is divided into several phases and brings together key players in Stockholm’s construction and crane sectors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

JASO Tower Cranes is involved in two phases. Firstly, with five cranes (J560, J300, J260N, J190, and J360<\/strong>) in phase E05, specifically at the Korsv\u00e4gen station, where we’re constructing a tunnel passing beneath the renowned amusement park Liseberg Park. The J560 and J300 cranes, equipped with 10mx10m travelling portals custom-made for this project by JASO, are part of a commercial agreement through JASO and Falcon Crane Hire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Kaper has a J260NA<\/strong> operating in another phase of the project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As our Swedish distributor in the area Kaper Norden explains, the JASO cranes will remain at the Korsv\u00e4gen station site for the next five years, until the Westlink project is scheduled for completion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
