JASO cranes on the Gewan Island development, Qatar
25 / 02 / 2021
The assembly of seven J300 units, that will participate in the construction of Gewan Island in front of Doha Bay, has been successfully completed.
Requirement
China Railway 18th Bureau Group, a subsidiary of China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC), has been awarded one of the most important construction projects in Qatar.
Gewan Island, which is being developed by United Development Company (UDC), the country’s leading real estate developers, will be a residential and leisure island, located 350 metres off the coast of Doha Bay, with 67 hectares and a surface area of 360,000 m². The development will consist of flats, exclusive villas, an entertainment centre, a golf course etc. It has been designed as an extension of The Pearl-Qatar and is to meet the accommodation and investment needs of local residents.
Solution
For the construction of this high-end community, Q-FAB, our official distributor in Qatar for more than 15 years, provided seven of their J300 cranes.
Our colleagues at Q-FAB chose the T series from the Top Line range from their extensive crane fleet because of their high load capacity and long reach. This model offers high performance in building, as they can work uninterruptedly at high speed, and require little service and maintenance. They also stand out for their speed in assembly and disassembly, which makes it possible to optimise the time the crane spends on site.
