Four J300 cranes have played a crucial role in the high-speed rail project that will connect Vitoria, Bilbao, and San Sebastián.
For the Elorrio-Elorrio high-speed section in Biscay, awarded by ADIF to Sacyr Ingeniería e Infraestructuras and Cavosa, in a joint venture with Mariezcurrena, a robust and versatile solution was required. This section is characterized by complex infrastructure, including viaducts and tunnels, in a highly demanding technical environment. Specifically, the 481-meter-long Zumelegui Viaduct required a crane capable of meeting the challenges of height and precision.
To address these challenges, four J300 cranes from our High Top range were selected. These cranes were initially installed at a height of 50 meters using TRD36 mast sections (3.6m x 3.6m). Later, they climbed to a final height of 93.4 meters using a climbing cage and by transitioning from TRD36 sections to TR20 and TN20 sections (both 2.0m x 2.0m).
This flexible climbing capability has ensured uninterrupted operation at every stage of the Zumelegui Viaduct’s construction, guaranteeing efficiency and safety throughout the process.
Sacyr chose JASO Tower Cranes not only for the excellent balance of quality and price of our equipment, but also for our hands-on and specialized after-sales service. This collaboration ensured that our cranes operated at peak efficiency, contributing to meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
With the Zumelegui Viaduct now in its final phase, JASO Tower Cranes celebrates yet another milestone in high-speed rail infrastructure construction. This success further consolidates our position in the market as a provider of innovative and efficient solutions. The precision and robustness of the J300 cranes have been instrumental in the success of this project, representing a significant advancement in the transportation infrastructure of the Basque Country.
